International cyber agencies have shared the details of the top vulnerabilities exploited in 2020 and highlighted those still being widely exploited in 2021. The most targeted vulnerabilities in 2020 affected remote working, cloud-based technologies and VPNs.
The joint report also contained advice on countering software vulnerabilities for private and public organisations. The report lists vendors and products and recommends prioritising patching the vulnerabilities listed.
The joint advisory spoke of being committed to collaborating internationally to raise awareness of cyber security vulnerabilities and provide support and resources to increase our collective defences.
