On 9th December, ST-FOUR hosted an Education Forum that brought together representatives from a wide range of educational institutions. The event provided a valuable opportunity for open discussion, knowledge sharing, and forward planning around key OpenText solutions used across the education sector.
The forum began with an interactive round table session where attendees reflected on the work undertaken across their institutions over the past few months, including key projects completed over the summer. Discussions covered software upgrades, platform improvements, and lessons learned from recent implementations.
After an extended Lunch break, attendees heard from Ron van Herk (OpenText), who delivered an insightful presentation on the upcoming release of ZENworks 25.4. Ron explored how ZENworks continues to support educational institutions with efficient endpoint management, security, and automation—helping IT teams manage increasingly diverse device estates with confidence.
Next, Mick Rutherford (OpenText) presented on the IDAM product set OpenText offer, highlighting the importance of strong identity governance in modern education environments. His session focused on how IDM can simplify user access, improve security, and reduce administrative overhead across complex and distributed institutions.
The final session of the day included a valuable update from David Frost (ST-FOUR), who provided an overview of the latest End of Life dates for key OpenText products & Linux platforms. This session helped attendees understand critical timelines and plan proactively for upgrades, ensuring continued support and compliance.
To conclude the event, ST-FOUR rounded off the day with a prize giveaway for three lucky attendees as a gesture of thanks for their participation and engagement. The giveaways also served as a festive way to wish everyone a Merry Christmas, bringing the forum to a close on a positive and celebratory note.
