At ST-FOUR we have embraced remote working since 2015 so we know a bit about it! The biggest issue that everyone faces at first is the change of scenery, swapping your comfy office chair and ergonomic desk for the dining room table and hardwood chair is a culture shock in itself but with liberal use of cushions and gaffer tape or if you can afford it springing out for a new office chair for the home you can get yourself settled in and ready to tackle how to get things done now you can't just spin round and chat directly with your colleagues.....but more about how to solve those problems in later blogs!
We've all had time now to start to get used to the new "way things are" and in general most of us have found ways to work virtually, maybe not as slickly, quickly or securely as we would like (but again more about that in later blogs) however having gone through the trials and tribulations of remote working for many, many years the the number one thing that we can advise people to do speed up their work is.....
Get a proper Keyboard and Mouse, followed, if budget allows, by a good sized monitor, so let us have a look at getting your Keyboard and Mouse up to scratch, whatever situation you're in, from everyday "Choosing a 13" laptop seemed such a good idea at the time but now I spend more time correcting my spelling than actually typing" through to "I need an easy secure option access my IT systems with my ID card" sophistication we have it all for you.
